Acid-Alkaline Balance

Number one priority
The acid-alkaline balance (pH level) is essential and the body always handles this balance as a number one priority. Fundamentally, all regulatory mechanisms (including breathing, circulation, digestion, hormone production, etc.) serve the purpose of balancing the pH levels. If the pH level deviates too far to the acid side or too far to the alkaline side, cells become poisoned by their own toxic waste and die. Just as acid rain can destroy a forest and alkaline wastes can pollute a lake, an imbalanced pH continuously corrodes all body tissue.

Starting point for most degenerative diseases
Although it may generally go unnoticed and undetected for years, an imbalanced acid-alkaline can lead to the progression of most degenerative diseases. For example, if there is too much acid in the diet (caused by too much protein consumption) the body sacrifices the calcium in its bones to neutralize it, with the side effect of causing the disease osteoporosis.

When switching to a healthy nutrition a significant amount of acid is set free and needs to be removed from the body. Please go to detox for details on how to do this. It is also advisable to check your pH level on a regular basis and act accordingly.

Alka Clear capsulesRe-optimise the acid-alkaline level
To re-optimise the acid-alkaline level it is necessary to take a pH-neutraliser (ask in a health food shop for pH neutraliser as capsules). Most pH-neutralisers include a pee strip which you can use to measure your pH level. The optimal value is between 6.2 and 6.5 in the morning and between 6.8 and 7.0 at lunch time. If the value is lower than the optimum the body is too acidic and needs the pH neutraliser.

I recommend Alka-Clear, a ph-neutraliser available with pee stripes, available for example at amazon.
